Narrative

TOPPENISH, WA – A driver is facing vehicular assault charges following a two-vehicle crash in Toppenish that left another person critically injured on Saturday.

The collision occurred along State Route 22 near North Track Road at about 3 p.m.

The Washington State Patrol reported that the driver of a white 2001 Chevrolet Silverado allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign, resulting in a collision with an eastbound Ford Fairlane.

The Ford’s driver was flown to an area hospital in critical condition.

Officers arrested the driver of the Chevrolet at the scene. No additional information is available at this time.
