SKAMANIA COUNTY, WA- A person was killed when forced to hit a truck by a reckless driver on Highway 14 on Oct. 15, The Columbian reports. Police are searching for witnesses as they investigate a crash where the at-fault driver in a red car caused the incident at milepost 54 but escaped unharmed. The crash occurred at 4:05p.m. The driver of the red vehicle attempted to pass a truck while traffic was coming on the opposite lane. Woman dies from injuries in motorcycle crash in Skamania County

SKAMANIA COUNTY, WA – A motorcycle crash on State Route 14 in Skamana resulted in one death Sunday night, KPTV reports. The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. when an unnamed 57-year-old woman was travelling westbound and for unknown reasons drove off the road. The rider struck and embankment and was thrown from the vehicle. The victim was pronounced dead from her injuries after being taken to PeaceWest Southwest hospital.
