Narrative
YAKIMA, WA – A 20-year-old woman died on Saturday after her vehicle collided with a second vehicle along the interstate in Yakima.
The accident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-82 near milepost 35, which is between East Nob Hill Boulevard and East Valley Mall Boulevard.
The investigation thus far indicates that the unrestrained victim, identified as Jazmine Gutierrez, rear-ended an eastbound vehicle on the interstate. She died at the scene of the accident.
The three occupants of the second vehicle did not sustain injuries in the crash.
Police say that both vehicles were totaled in the wreck.
The investigation is ongoing.
