 Narrative

A driver was killed and four passengers hospitalized after a head-on crash in Spokane Valley on Nov. 26th. At 2:25p.m., Daniel J. Swain, 60, crossed into the opposite lane and hit Michel J. Newcomb’s vehicle. Newcomb passed away. Swain, and all three of his passengers, were hospitalized. The passengers were: Jennifer E. Swain, 53; Jessica D. Swain, 20; and Callie E. Swain, 18. Two of these hospitalized were in serious condition. The lanes on the eastbound section of the road were closed off as authorities responded to the scene. WSP is heading the investigation.
