SPOKANE VALLEY, WA – A man died Saturday in a single-vehicle crash along the highway in east-central Spokane County.
The accident happened around 7:10 a.m. on Route 27 near East 46th Avenue in Spokane Valley. This is about ten miles east of Spokane.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of a northbound 2020 Dodge Durango lost control of his vehicle, left the highway, and crashed into an embankment.
The unrestrained driver died at the scene. Authorities identified him as 56-year-old Daniel W. Fitzwater.
