Narrative
NORTH PINE, WA – A fatality has been reported in connection to a multi-vehicle crash that happened two Saturdays ago in southeast Spokane County.
The incident occurred shortly before 7:30 a.m. along US-195 near East Babb Road. This is just northeast of Rosalia Municipal Airport.
Police say that a northbound 2023 Mazda CX-50 collided with a jackknifed semi-truck. The Mazda then struck two other vehicles, while the 18-wheeler struck another semi.
A teen passenger in the Mazda sustained fatal injuries.
The driver of the Mazda and a second passenger went to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
The truck driver did not sustain injuries in the crash.
