Narrative

SPOKANE VALLEY, WA – Four people were hurt last Thursday in a major collision involving two motorcycles in east-central Spokane County.

Emergency teams responded to the westbound side of I-90 near the exit for Sullivan Road in Spokane Valley shortly before 8 p.m. This is near Lowe’s and Walmart.

Police say that a westbound motorcyclist was intoxicated when he struck another motorcycle along the interstate.  Both motorcycles were carrying passengers at the time of the crash.

Medics transported all four victims to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.

Authorities identified the motorcycle operator that caused the wreck as 46-year-old Paul Krous. Krous has been charged with vehicular assualt.

Officials closed the westbound side of I-90 for several hours while crews worked at the scene.
