Narrative
LAKE STEVENS, WA – A 61-year-old man died, and at least two others sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle collision along the interstate in west-central Snohomish County.
The accident happened shortly after 4 p.m. on Highway 92 near 44th Street Northeast in the city of Lake Stevens. This is about 37 miles northeast of Seattle.
Police say that an eastbound gray pickup truck rear-ended a Ford Fusion, which then struck a blue pickup truck. The blue truck then collided with a Toyota Tundra, while the Fusion was pushed into a Mack MD work truck in the westbound lane.
The driver of the Fusion died at the scene. Authorities identified him as 61-year-old Steven C. Prussel.
Medics transported at least two others to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
