Narrative
RENTON, WA – A woman was killed and a man seriously injured following a collision involving a semi-truck on I-405 Monday.
Troopers with WSP say a car slammed into the rear the semi-trailer in the northbound lanes of the interstate, just north of the Maple Valley Highway shortly before 3:30 p.m.
The right lane of I-405 northbound at SR 169 in #Renton is blocked due to a collision.
IRT and emergency crews are on scene.

The woman riding in the passenger seat of the car was pronounced dead a short time later. The driver, an unidentified man, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
