BENTON COUNTY, WA – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after being struck by a freight truck in Benton County on Monday morning, according to NBC KNDO.
The accident took place at approximately 9 a.m. at the intersection of I-182 and State Route 397 when the 31-year-old driver of a freight truck travelling west on I-182 re-entered the highway after beginning to turn as if to take the exit.
The truck then struck a motorcycle driven by a 43-year-old man from Kenwick. The severity of the motorcyclist’s injuries was not reported. They were reportedly wearing a helmet.
No other injuries are reported in the accident.
