SEATTLE, WA – A man died early Saturday after a hit-and-run vehicle struck him along the interstate in central Seattle.
The incident occurred around 4 a.m. along the southbound side of I-5 just south of the I-90 intersection.
Police say that a vehicle hit a male pedestrian when he ran into traffic. The driver of the vehicle then left the scene of the accident.
Authorities declared the man deceased at the scene. They’ve not yet released his identity to the public.
Officials continue to investigate the accident and to look for the driver and vehicle involved in the crash. They say the driver will face a charge of felony hit-and-run.
