Narrative
SEATAC, WA – One person went to the hospital, and another was arrested after a major two-vehicle accident along the interstate in SeaTac.
The collision occurred just after 1 a.m. on the northbound side of I-5 near South 188th Street, which is east of Angle Lake and southeast of Valley Ridge Community Center and Ball Fields.
Police say that a speeding driver rear-ended a Toyota Tacoma on the interstate. The impact of the crash threw the driver of the Toyota from their vehicle and into the roadway.
Medics transported the victim from the Toyota to the hospital with unspecified injuries. They are expected to recover.
The driver that caused the accident faces charges of vehicular assault.
The accident caused lane closures and significant traffic congestion while emergency crews attended to the scene.
