Narrative
DOUGLAS CO., WA – One person died, and two people were hospitalized following a one-way crash along a highway in west-central Douglas County.
The accident happened Sunday on WA-97 near Entiat. This is about 160 miles east of Seattle.
Police say that a southbound vehicle entered the northbound lanes of the highway and struck a northbound vehicle. The first car then caught fire.
Authorities declared the wrong-way driver, identified as 20-year-old Hayden Fisher, deceased at the scene.
Medics transported the two occupants of the northbound vehicle to the hospital with unknown injuries.
