VANCOUVER, WA – A 67-year-old Vancouver man died Saturday in a head-on collision along the interstate just northeast of the Washington and Oregon border.
The incident happened around 12:13 a.m. on the northbound side of I-5 near the exit 1D for East Mill Plain Boulevard.
Police say that a southbound vehicle driven by 43-year-old Amy M Gaudette entered the northbound side of I-5 and crashed head-on into the victim’s northbound vehicle.
The driver of the northbound vehicle, identified as Stephen M Wesley, died after transport to a local hospital.
The wrong-way driver faces charges that include homicide with a vehicle and DUI.
