RENTON, WA – One person died, and another went to the hospital in critical condition when a police pursuit ended in a collision along the highway in Renton last Friday.
The accident occurred around 10:16 p.m. on the Maple Valley Highway at 154th Place SE, which is just east of Ron Regis Park.
The investigation thus far indicates that a vehicle fleeing police crashed into an SUV on WA-169, seriously injuring the driver of the SUV.
The driver of the of the vehicle fleeing police died at the scene of the accident. Authorities have not yet released his identity, nor have they shared the reason for the pursuit.
