Narrative

SEATTLE, WA – A woman died on Thursday morning in the Georgetown area of Seattle after an alleged DUI driver struck her on a busy roadway.

The crash happened sometime around 5:30 a.m. near 1st Avenue South and South Lucille Street, which is just northwest of King County International Airport.

The pedestrian died at the scene of the accident. Authorities have not yet released her identity to the public.

Police plan to take the 64-year-old driver into custody for driving while intoxicated.

The investigation is ongoing.
